Hi Eric,

Sorry for not checking this site out sooner. I have been super duper busy but with Spring coming the desire to get back to bonsai is kicking in.

Thanks for the news about Garden Retreat. I bought a bunch of extrusion and polycarbonate off of them for a grow box I built; I had no idea that they were getting into bonsai supply. Good for them. I hope they have lots of success.

Say, do you know if they sell bonsai soil mixes? Right now I use a mix of Schultz aquatic, Chicken grit number 3 and and Schultz Orchid mix. Grinding up the Schultz Orchid mix is pain. I use a coffee grinder because the cheap food processor I bought to do the job, doesn't work at all. Using the coffee grinder, while effective, is sloooooooooow going (1/3 of cup at a go). It takes about 4 hours to get enough usable material for a larger tree pot -- not having to grind this stuff up would be worth considerable amount to me.

Chad that is a good question. I have to say go chat with scott stoner at garden retreat. If he doesn't have it he can hook you up.
