I have persuaded Les Dowdell from Edmonton to offer a workshop for us in Calgary.[/b] 2possible formats 1. everyone bring a tree -problem tree, tree in progress, new tree, or2. nursery trees to be purchased from somewhere before workshop and brought for analysis and design help.

Les has been at this for over 25 years, has done workshops before. He is only asking that we provide gas money, a place to sleep overnight and workshop space.

Perhaps there is a nursery company that could provide space and give us good price on trees. Each person purchase a tree - size determined by budget.

Proposed workshop could start on Friday eve or Saturday morning and go until Sunday afternoon. Date to be determined with us.

He will be sending me material on his experience and more ideas on topics to workshop and I will post them here.

Let me know as soon as possible whether you are interested and whether you have suggestions or a place to do this and tree availability.

I am very interested, unfortunately, however, I do not have any relationship with any greenhouse in town.

I thought we had somebody here with a relationship to Green Gate or was it Garden Retreat? I'm not volunteering anyone, of course, but I hope somebody here can "hook us up."

I'd be interested. The only thing I would need is some lead time - I'm currently treeless and frequently out of town over the next month or so.
